Terms of Service

Effective March 2026

By engaging RankForward for services or using our website, you agree to the following terms. Please read them carefully.

1. Services Provided

RankForward provides AI search optimization strategy and reporting services, including:

• AI visibility audits and citation readiness scoring
• Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) strategy and recommendations
• Citation gap analysis and competitive research
• Monthly AI visibility reporting and score tracking
• Content optimization recommendations for AI citation signals

RankForward does not provide website development, web design, hosting, traditional SEO implementation, or technical website changes. Implementation of our recommendations may require a separate web development partner.

2. Payment Terms

• GEO Audit: The audit is a one-time engagement. Payment is due in full before the audit report is delivered.
• Monthly Retainers: Monthly management services are billed at the beginning of each month. Payment is due within 15 days of invoice.
• Cancellation: Monthly retainer clients may cancel with 30 days written notice to hello@rankforward.ai. No refunds are issued for partial months.

3. No Guarantee of Results

RankForward does not guarantee specific AI visibility outcomes, citation readiness scores, or rankings in any AI search engine. AI search results are controlled by third-party platforms (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, xAI, and others) and are subject to change at any time without notice.

Our recommendations are based on peer-reviewed academic research and real-world testing, but AI search is an emerging and rapidly evolving field. Past performance and baseline scores are not predictive of future results.

4. Intellectual Property

Client deliverables: All reports, audits, and deliverables created for a client become the client's property upon full payment. Clients may use these materials internally and share them with their teams or partners.

RankForward methodology: Our proprietary tools, processes, scoring algorithms, and internal systems remain the intellectual property of RankForward. Clients may not reverse-engineer, redistribute, or resell our tools or methodology.

5. Confidentiality

RankForward treats all client data, audit results, and business information as confidential. We will not share client-specific data with third parties without written consent, except as required by law. We may reference anonymized, aggregate results for marketing purposes (e.g., "average Arizona business scores 3-4/10").

6. Limitation of Liability

RankForward's total liability for any claim arising from our services is limited to the total fees paid by the client to RankForward in the 12 months preceding the claim. RankForward is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost revenue or business opportunities.

7. Indemnification

Clients agree to indemnify and hold RankForward harmless from claims, losses, or damages arising from the client's use of our deliverables, the client's business operations, or any third-party disputes unrelated to RankForward's services.

8. Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Arizona. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be resolved in the courts of Yavapai County, Arizona.

9. Changes to These Terms

RankForward may update these terms from time to time. Updated terms will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
