Terms of Service

1. Services Provided

RankForward provides AI search measurement, written content and reporting, including:

• A monthly measurement of how AI engines answer questions about the client's business, reported engine by engine — quoted where an engine answered; a run that fails is reported as failed
• Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) recommendations and specifications
• Content written for the client to publish: posts, blog drafts, profile text, Q&A page content
• Structured-data (schema) specifications and periodic website reviews
• Citation and competitor tracking in the client's market

RankForward does not provide website development, web design, hosting, traditional SEO implementation, or technical website changes under the base plan. The client, or the client's web person, publishes the content and implements the specifications. Hands-on work on a client property is provided only under the Managed Execution tier or a written one-off quote accepted before the work.

2. Fees and Term

• Monthly plan: Monthly AI Visibility Management is $1,500 per month. Invoiced at the start of each month, due within 15 days of invoice.
• Setup fee: $500, invoiced with the first month for new clients. Waived under a prepayment.
• Initial term: three monthly invoices. From the fourth month the engagement continues month to month; either party may end it with 30 days' written notice to hello@rankforward.ai. No refunds are issued for partial months.
• Prepayment: six- and twelve-month prepayments carry a discount, stated in the client's agreement. Unused whole months of a prepayment are refunded only if RankForward ends the engagement.
• Managed Execution: $2,750 per month all in, capped at 3 concurrent clients, on the terms in the client's agreement addendum.
• Legacy one-time engagements: any previously agreed one-time audit engagement is payable in full before the report is delivered.

3. What Is Not Guaranteed

We do not guarantee scores, rankings, citations, being recommended by any AI engine, lead counts, or revenue. AI answers change on their own, run to run.

What we commit to: the deliverables and your report day, six engines scanned each cycle or shown as failed, one revision round per package. AI answers are produced by third-party platforms (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, xAI and others) and change without notice; a starting measurement is not predictive of a later one.

4. Intellectual Property

Client deliverables: All reports and deliverables created for a client become the client's property upon full payment. Clients may use these materials internally and share them with their teams or partners.

RankForward methodology: Our tools, processes and internal systems remain the intellectual property of RankForward. Clients may not reverse-engineer, redistribute, or resell our tools or methodology.

5. Confidentiality

RankForward treats all client data, measurement results and business information as confidential. We will not share client-specific data with third parties without written consent, except as required by law. Any sample of our work published on this site is our own or is published with the client's written permission, with identifying details removed.

6. Limitation of Liability

RankForward's total liability for any claim arising from our services is limited to the total fees paid by the client to RankForward in the 12 months preceding the claim. RankForward is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost revenue or business opportunities.

7. Indemnification

Clients agree to indemnify and hold RankForward harmless from claims, losses, or damages arising from the client's use of our deliverables, the client's business operations, or any third-party disputes unrelated to RankForward's services.

8. Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Arizona. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be resolved in the courts of Yavapai County, Arizona.

9. Changes to These Terms

RankForward may update these terms from time to time. Updated terms will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. A client's agreement names the version it includes.
